Lítačka

Introduction

How many people are using Lítačka?

The Prague card for travelling using the municipal public transportation system called Lítačka was introduced in March 2016. Passengers can upload any time coupon to the card, they can use it for borrowing books from the Municipal Library and they can enjoy the related discount program.

A total of 660 thousand of people have obtained Lítačka so far. We introduce the most interesting card operation data using these data. Furthermore, you will learn how many Lítačka cards have been newly issued and how many of them have been issued as a replacement for its predecessor Opencard. You can see the reasons why people have decided to switch from Opencard to Lítačka. The data also present information about the ways people decide to have their Lítačka delivered to them, i.e. by mail or collecting it in person. You will also find data that show the card types people like the most as well as card types that people do not use that much. And if you like forecasts, you will also find a prognosis here, i.e. how the cards will be gradually replaced, until 2022.
